I want you to follow this 7 reason Jayne Leach gave to her team in UK some time ago and it's waking for them, don't keep it with yourself share it with your team to make this year a better one.
1. They don’t allow themselves enough time to succeed
Consider the fact that it takes a doctor at least 7 years of specialised training to qualify – 5 years for someone to train as a lawyer – 500 flying hours to become a fully qualified pilot – why is it then, that in Network Marketing, people feel that if they don’t have great success in weeks, then it’s not working for them, when in reality, they have only just begun. Please give yourself at least 12 to 18 months to begin to master this great industry and to give yourself a chance to succeed.
2. They lack desireTo be successful in Networking, you must have a deep down burning desire. I am constantly amazed at how many people have no discernable focus and desire for the really good things in life. Know what you want, believe you can have it, then commit your goals to paper and to yourself. If you want success enough, you will be prepared to pay the price for it. I truly believe that if you are prepared to do whatever it takes, you can have everything you want in life.
3. They don’t have a plan
Unsuccessful people let each day ‘take care of itself’, while successful people plan and outline what to do with every hour of the day. It is a sad fact that most people spend more time planning their holidays, than they do planning their life. The lifestyles and incomes that come to successful people don’t just happen by chance. They will have spent a good amount of time deciding what is important to them – deciding what income, etc. they want and then looking at what they have do to to get there. Have you got a plan? – this may be an a new and strange concept to some people – if you need some help putting together your plan, then do ask your sponsor or Manager for help – please don’t consign your life to always being part of someone else’s grand plan – go for greatness in what you want.
4. They don’t have the right attitude
Attitude is the switch that turns on everything else; when you master your attitude, you master your life. Before anyone buys anything from you, a product, a recommendation, an opportunity, a possibility, anything, they must first buy you and your attitude. One of the most powerful ways of maintaining an empowering attitude is to ask yourself empowering questions. It’s the questions that you ask yourself that determine your focus and action.
Question – what is great about this?
Most people complain about everything – I did a training once – I spent a lot of time writing a great talk – promoted it like mad – got up really early on the day – got to the venue 1 hour before the event – set up the room for 50 places and guess what – only 12 turned up – I can tell you I was disappointed but when changing the way I looked at the situation, I realised that actually I had the chance to work with 12 committed people – make a difference in their lives – it enabled me to be much more involved with the group – we ended up having a great day.
Question – what can I learn from this?
Norman Vincent Peale said, “when learning stops, decay sets in”. No matter what happens that is negative in my life, I always ask, “what can I learn from this, so it doesn’t happen again?”
Question – what do I need to change to make it happen?
I know I will never achieve all I want to achieve, unless I am constantly in control of my thinking – I have noticed that all the high achievers I have associated with, have a passion for the change that needs to happen in their lives – they will be constantly looking to improve themselves. It’s the one and only absolute in our lives – things will change – you can be certain of that – are you prepared to change with them. High achievers always believe the best is yet to come – do you?
5. They are not willing to continually learn
The wise person learns from experience – however, the super-wise person learns not only from others but also from the experience of others. Consider this – all the top people in FLP worldwide always attend trainings –meetings – read books – listen to tapes – watch videos – even when in the eyes of others, they are already ‘there’ – why do you think they are ‘there’? – they are great students – they will always talk to others – learn from others – put all good ideas into practise, to help them improve and so help their teams improve. They will have a mentor –remember, none of us are the finished product.
6. They don’t show enough enthusiasm
Look at the word enthusiasm and take out of it, the last 4 letters – IASM –I am sold myself. If you are not enthusiastic about what you are doing - don’t expect anyone else to be. You will hear it being said, that FLP people are a very enthuastic bunch – don’t be scared to show energy – people do buy into it. The writer Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “Enthusiasm is to success, what yeast is to bread – it raises the dough”.
7. They just don’t work hard enough or smart enough.
The only time success comes before work is in the Dictionary – top achievers not only work very hard, but they also work smart – work the system – don’t reinvent the wheel – stay plugged in. This is an industry that can give you anything you want – but you have to earn your stripes. Help enough others get their goals and it all comes to you. I think that you have to work very hard for 3 years in Networking, in order to then have the rest of your life to yourself - to do what you want – to go where you want – to have what you want. Of course, that doesn’t mean simply being in it – there’s a vast difference between the two. We worked very hard for 3 years – in Germany, Rolf Kipp and Katrin Bayri both worked very hard for 3 years, in Scandinavis, Kim Madsen worked very hard for 3 years – and there are so many more..
